L3 PLM – Auto OEM

One of our prestigious client  “Auto OEM” Is looking for  “L3 PLM ”.

Location:        Akurdi, Pune

Role:

You will be responsible for

  • Administration of the PLM Toolset (Siemens Teamcenter) including definition of workflows, attributes, user rights, system configuration, maintenance, ongoing support and development.
  • You will ensure all design; simulations and calculation tools are connected to our PLM system to allow seamlessly integrated workflows for our designers along with process definition and implementation.
  • As a primary contact for all PLM users, you ensure technical issues are resolved in a timely manner. to improve user experience and business processes
  • Working cross-functionally with other departments (R&D, engineering, quality etc.) to cover business needs and functionality for the Teamcenter PLM system.
  • Training colleagues, preparing instructions and user guides assuring that all processes and workflows are applied correctly.

You will be the Primary contact

  • For within the engineering design organisation for the PLM toolset and all the interfaces to that toolset, supporting the team.
  • Between R&D IT and the PLM toolset supplier/external PLM implementation partner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Projects Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from process SMEs, functional managers and develop technical solutions
  • Install and Upgrade local PLM environments, On-going maintenance, upgrades, and support of PLM Teamcenter Priority application and connectors as needed.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues at various levels like installation, deployment, configuration, server side and client-side issues for all systems etc.
  • Manage and priorities vendor’s tasks and schedule.
  • Develop migration strategies and execution
    Support system administrator tasks as required such as system upgrade test and validation, and end user support
  • Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.

Delivery Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues at various levels like installation, deployment, configuration, server side and client-side issues.
  • Partner with business teams to audit PLM master data and provide direction, recommendations and training, if needed, to ensure accurate data
  • Plan and execute the delivery and acceptance testing as well as internal communication and training.
  • Hands on implementation and configuration capabilities.
  • Partner with business teams to audit PLM master data and provide direction, recommendations and training, if needed, to ensure accurate data
    Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows; and work closely with developers.

 TPM Responsibilities:

  • Apply patches on test, UAT and Production Server
  • Document root cause analysis of issues
  • Reach out to Internal IT for Product Issues and raise ticketing systems
  • Communicate with users on issues
  • Provide workarounds to issues
  • Develop Knowledge Management database for solved issues

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
  • 3 + years’ experience working on projects or support role in PLM software system Teamcenter supporting a customer Production instance.
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of product development processes supported with Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting

Mandatory Teamcenter Skills:

  1. Teamcenter Installation/Configuration/Migration in a distributed environment
  2. Teamcenter custom template install
  3. Active Workspace Installation and Configuration
  4. NX and Solidedge CAD Integration
  5. Working experience in Perl/Batch Scripts

 Desirable Certifications: ITIL | AWS Cloud Certifications | Database

Other Mandatory Skills:

  1. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  2. Loves solving problems
  3. Has a systematic way to solve problems.
  4. Should be able to perform root cause analysis and arrive at the right solution
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Team player
  7. Learning attitude – willing to learn new things.
  8. Basic Linux and Windows Operating System knowledge

Good to Have Skills:

  1. Mentoring of junior team members
  2. Use Pareto or 5 Why or any other Industry technique for root cause analysis
  3. Ability to automate some of the tasks
  4. Scripting knowledge would be useful
  5. DBA knowledge on Oracle/MS SQL
