Qualification – B.E/B. Tech/DEE/DME – Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Automobile
General Experience – 8-10 Years (BE/B. Tech)
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Commodity: –
- Responsible for Estimating the ZBC/SBC of Part or System.
- Strong knowledge in part production cycle times, material utilization and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Must be well verse with manufacturing process and key cost driver to each processes
- Value stream Mapping
- Apply standard costing procedures for Product/Process & review cost structures from time to time.
- Responsible for the development and long-term ownership of cost estimating models for Parts and Tools
- Support Business case proposal with PCL/Platform Team.
- Support Engineering/Design in evaluating design proposals
- Implement, maintain and update associated cost analysis with technical data.
Others: –
- Awareness of CV range Supplier and Product base is Must
- A passion for understanding emerging technologies and subsequent key cost drivers
- Analytical ability to solve problems that are unique and sometimes complex
- Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering background
- Familiar with product structure, model viewing & measurements.
- Ability to design and implement new cost reports.
Commodity specific Requirement:
- In depth knowledge of Commodity and commodity trends
- Commodity Systems Know How – Lamps, Wiring Harness, Switches, Battery, Alternators, ECUs, Bumper, Grille, IP, Door Trims, SMC Parts, Ducts
- Processes Know How – Injection Molding, Ultrasonic Welding, Sheet Metal Composite Forming, Vacuum Forming, Blow Molding, Plastic Part Painting Process
- Know How of Commodity cost drivers
- Experience in interaction with Commodity supplier base
- Commodity special process/Materials
- VAVE Levers
- Value stream mapping
- Knowledge of Product development cycle
- APQP awareness
General Requirement
- Knowledge of SAP
- Able to communicate and present cost data information to senior level leadership.
- MS Excel and Power point
- Ability to assimilate a large amount of cost data and clearly condense / communicate information to Customers during meetings/ work with project engineers to summarize in an efficient way
- effective communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with global team members and cross functional peers
