SQIG Asst. Manager

One of our prestigious client “Channel Partner ” is looking for “SQIG Asst. Manager”, Pune, Chakan.

 Experience: 

  • E. – Min, 8 yrs. of Exp. in Automobile Industry Having 3 yrs., in SQA / SQIG dept.
  • DME – 10 yrs. of Exp. In Automobile Industry having 5 yrs. In SQA /SQIG Dept.

 Qualification: DME/BE- Mechanical/Automobile/Production

Location             :            Pune, Chakan.

Job role             :  Ensure the quality and reliability of products and services provided by external suppliers. This role is crucial in maintaining and improving overall product quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with industry standards, overseeing and improving the quality of products and services delivered by external suppliers, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the organization. Oversee and manage the quality aspects of the supply chain, particularly focused on high-pressure die casting processes

Knowledge and Skills   

  • Review of Die Casting Tool design & Flow analysis.
  • Advance Quality Planning & PPAP Process
  • Casting Knowledge
  • Manufacturing Process – Casting, Machining, Welding, Stamping, Injection molding and Assembly.
  • Problem Solving (7QC Tools, etc) knowledge

 Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supplier Selection and Evaluation
  • Participate in the selection of new suppliers for high-pressure die casting processes.
  • Develop criteria for supplier evaluation and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  1. Quality Standards and Compliance
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, specifications, and requirements for high-pressure die casting processes.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  1. Supplier Audits
  • Plan and execute regular audits of supplier facilities to assess their quality management systems and production processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
  1. Quality Assurance Programs
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to monitor and control high-pressure die casting processes.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supplier quality
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in high-pressure die casting processes and work with suppliers to implement best practices.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance overall efficiency.
  1. Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with high-pressure die casting processes, such as defects, variations, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize potential quality-related risks.
  1. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, to communicate quality requirements and resolve issues.
  • Ensure alignment between supplier quality goals and overall organizational objectives.
  1. Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier performance, audit findings, and quality-related activities.
  • Generate regular reports on supplier quality metrics for management review.
  1. Training and Development
  • Provide training and guidance to suppliers on high-pressure die casting quality requirements and best practices.
  • Assist in the development of training programs to enhance supplier quality awareness.
  1. Customer Satisfaction
  • Ensure that the quality of high-pressure die cast components meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Address customer complaints related to supplier quality and lead efforts to implement corrective actions.
  1. Supplier Relationship Management
  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and open communication.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve issues, address concerns, and align on continuous improvement initiatives.
