Educational Qualifications: Graduate in Metallurgical/ Material Science Engineering from reputed institute with good Academic track record.
Work Exp. : 3-6 Yrs.
Preferred Vernacular Language: English/Hindi/Marathi
Need for travel: Domestic – Monthly –For audits
JOB PURPOSE
- Heat Treatment Process Control Standardization & Implementation at Vendors.
- HT Vendor Process validation for new processes, source, and equipment’s and to support as required.
- Conducting Heat Treatment Vendor’s CFT process audits as per schedule and as per issue-based requirements.
- Conducting process audits at Polymer vendors – Rubber, Plastics RM mixing, molding, and casting vendors – HPDC, LPDC, GDC, Solutioning & Aging
- Material testing while vendor audit: grade, case depth, microstructure, mechanical testing of ferrous, non-ferrous & polymer parts.
- Metallurgical Failure Analysis of Part for Assy Lines and field failures.
- Process -Root cause analysis for HT Parameter defects. Awa about SCDA system and its’ Usages.
- Effective communication to vendors for implementing corrective & preventive actions.
- Vendor audit NC, improvement points and corrective actions communication to the Management.
- Interface with Vendors, PPC, Materials for issues and for improvement projects / engineering changes / new model etc
- Weld penetration & Millipore inspection at vendor end.
- QMS (ISO 9001:2015) & SHE System (ISO 45001:2018) co-ordination of Departmental activities.

Technical:
- Knowledge advance Heat treatment technology and Basics of each process.
- Awareness about …Micro level analysis and Instrumentations.
- Analytical ability and Process know how to identify abnormality mapping.
- Knowledge of PFMEA & DFMEA of 2 Wh Parts & Process –FTA analysis
- Knowledge of Rubber /Polymer will be added benefit.
- Aware about of engineering drawings, auto cad and 3D drawing software
- Should have knowledge & exposure in implementation of TPM systems, ISO
Functional: IT tools expertise like SAP, PLM software team center, MS office etc
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Role Based – STD Library):
- Conversant with Metallurgical requirements w.r.t. function of various Automobile parts.
- Thorough Heat Treatment process knowledge of Carburizing, Nitriding, Induction Hardening, Hardening& Tempering, Forging Normalizing & Annealing for various auto parts, fasteners. Quenching (oil +Salt)
- Expertise in Metallographic inspection – Microstructure, Material, Case Depths, Weld Penetrations
- Conversant with polymer grade, its identification DSC, TGA.
- Competent to operate Materials Lab equipment – Microscope, Microhardness Tester, Spectroscope, UTM
- Conversant with Al casting processes HPDC, LPDC and Heat treatment Solutioning & Annealing.
- Conversant with Polymer Injection & Compression Molding.
- Expertise in failure analysis, initiating corrective preventive actions.
- Knowledge & expertise in using different problem-solving techniques (7 QC Tools).
- Exposure to QMS and SHEMS implementation in work area.
- Managing daily lab activities documentation, calibrations, certifications, etc.
