Job Title          Surface treatment (Quality Manager – C &M)

Location:        Akurdi, Pune

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Essential :  BE / graduation (surface treatment process) / Paint technology.
  • Work Exp : Min: 2 Max: 10
  • Direct Reporting: Divisional Manager (CD QA)
  • Age :   Min: 23 Max: 35

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of best practices in surface treatment (ST) at BAL Casting & machining vendor clusters.
  • Identifying the gaps for available ST facility for further improvement.
  • Periodic visit to vendor & process audit for existing ST process at Tier 1, Tier 2 vendor.
  • Validation and establishment of new color shade as per ABS standard at vendor facility based on project schedule.
  • Interface with Engg and Styling team in new color shade development.
  • Establishing paint /powder consumption for new color scheme at vendor facility.
  • Approval of shot blasting & paint, powder coating jigs for uniform coverage.
  • Understanding, exploring, and establishing the new technology and process related to surface treatment.
  • Analysis of vendor QSR /EFR & IHR related to ST and work with vendor team for its improvement.
  • Documentation: DR4 documents, inspection agreement & acceptance criteria, PDI and Limit sample sign off.

Technical/ Functional:

  • Specialization in Surface treatment processes.
  • Familiar with paint & powder manufacturing process.
  • Conversant with TPM concept.
  • Conversant with Microsoft office & its usage (word /excel/ppt).
  • Conversant with Safety, health & environment (SHE) topics related to ST process.
  • Conversant with basics of casting process (Ferrous & Non-Ferrous).

Specific expertise required for functional area:

  • Ability to understand and trouble shoot various surface treatment defects related to various casting process.
