Educational Background: Threshold educational qualifications required to execute the role
- Tech / M.Tech in Electrical / Mechatronics Design. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.
Relevant Experience: Nature and years of relevant experience required to execute the role
- Mechatronic Design Experience in automotive field 9-12 Years Worked in other EM development would be optional

Job Purpose Statement
- To design/ develop/ modify Automotive Switches & EM components like horn, Lead Acid Battery
- Knowledge of Plastics used in Automotive switches, their application and moulding process.
- Experience on Automotive Communication System like CAN & LIN and their usage in EM components.
- Design Knowledge on Capacitive Touch / Touch Sensitive Technology and its challenges in automotive industry.
Key Accountabilities:
Design of Switches and EM components:
- Switch design and module development for VE system components
- Ensure the compliance of the Related Automotive Homologation requirements and Tell-tale regulations in Design
- Good Exposure to have Understanding on Plastics Usage and their moulding process required during development
- Identification of failure modes at System level and their mitigation methods
- Work on various HMI applications and Usage
- Work on System level and component level DFMEA of components and its fundamentals.
- Working on emerging Switches Trends including Touch Sensitive / Capacitive touch technology and its challenges in Automotive Fields.
- Work for design of other electromechanical components like horn and relays
Development of HW:
- BOM Control, Layout development, Drive mechanical and electrical parts development and integration.
Problem solving and Implementation of Corrective measures:
- Trouble shooting and analysis of system level defects.
- Analyse data and generate reports and make design changes for problems observed.
Preparing Design Records and Testing Data:
- Testing and validation support and test case definition at System level and vehicle testing
- Testing and troubleshooting of the problems observed in testing
