 Job role:  EMC Engineer

 Relevant Experience:  Min 4- Max 8 Years.

 Educational Qualifications: B.E/ B Tech in Electrical/Electronics, M Tech in Power Electronics 

 Job Role & Responsibilities

Role:   EMC Engineer 

Technical/ Functional:

  • Drive the EMI/EMC filter design, PCB design for various power converter designs such as Motor controller (1kW to 10kW), On Board Charger (0.3kW to 3.3kW), DC-DC converter (100W to 500W), Battery Management Systems etc.
  • Work with the design engineers and PCB designers to deploy the best design practices in PCB design and eliminate design iterations due to EMI/EMC failures
  • Use various analytical methods (LTSpice, SIMetrix, PSpice, Ansys, CST etc.) to estimate the EMI signature beforehand and propose corrective measures proactively.
  • Shall provide technical guidance on part level and vehicle level EMI/EMC certification tests.
  • Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan

        Specific expertise required for functional area:

  • Shall have knowledge of EMI/EMC standards such as ISO7637, ISO16750, CISPR 25, ECE R10.5, AIS004, ISO 11452 etc.
  • Shall have in-depth understanding of conducted emissions, conducted immunity/susceptibility, radiated emission, radiated immunity, ESD, EFT, surge etc.
  • Shall have strong fundamental knowledge in the electronic component designs
  • Must be familiar with design for six sigma (DFSS) processes
  • Strong analytical skills and working experience on different analyses such as worst case, Monte Carlo, tolerance stack up, power dissipation, stress etc.
  • Exposure to electronics manufacturing and validation facilities, hands on testing/ test set-up experience
  • Hands on experience in working on common lab equipment’s (Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-meter’s, Network analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, etc.)
