Qualification – BE in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering
Specific Accountability & KRA
- Accountable for Vehicle Controls system definition, of different ECUs – System architecture understanding among different ECUs & Electrical integration of ECUs
- Responsible for creating IVN functional Specifications and its associated test specifications
- Accountable for creation, development & validation of CAN message matrix for various ECUs at system level & at Vehicle level along with respective suppliers.
- Responsible for ECU functional test case definition and its implementation functional definition.
- Responsible for defining Diagnostics strategy for FML Vehicles
- Responsible for creating Diagnostics specifications document for all ECUs .
- Responsible for developing necessary diagnostic tools through System suppliers
- Dealing with various ECU suppliers to implement FML Diagnostic requirements.
- Familiarity with EOL Process for Different Test scenarios
- Ensuring adherence to ECU development process.
- Dealing with different suppliers and internal agencies to ensure timely delivery as per time plans.
- Dealing with different third party test agencies for Vehicle /system/sub system /aggregate tests.
Technical Capabilities
- In depth knowledge of Automotive Electrical & Electronics systems of Passenger Vans, Utility vehicles & SUVs
- Functional, design aspects, Application and integration. Understanding of the functional and physical interactions between vehicle sub-systems.
- In depth knowledge of the ECU design and development process with the suppliers including commercial aspects.
- Knowledge of functional aspects & electrical features for Engine Management System, Antilock Braking Systems, Instrument Cluster, HVAC control system, Body Control Module, Automatic Transmission etc.
- Good knowledge of DVP
- Test plan for all above ECU systems.
- Experience in IVN & Diagnostics development for vehicle platforms.
- Experience in using CAN tools like CANoe & CAN ANALYSER.
- Expert Knowledge of all legislative national standards (CMVR/ AIS) and International regulatory
- Standards (SAE, EEC, ECE, GB etc.) & standards like SAE J 1939, ISO11898, UDS, OBD standard etc.
- Very good knowledge of other systems of Passenger Vans, Utility vehicles & SUVs.
- Very good knowledge of DFMEA/DFM/DFS process
- Basic Knowledge of modelling & Drafting software like Catia – V5
