One of our prestigious client “Consumer Durables” is looking for “Specialist – Testing & Reliability Engineer”
Location – Pune
Experience – 4+ Yrs.
Role responsibilities
- Understanding the requirements from CFT – Design, Quality, Production etc. about product and
process Work closely with R&D Team for requirements of Reliability testing. Understand the
Products & Processes thoroughly and work out reliability requirements with respect to end user - Preparation of Reliability DVP based on Technical specifications & End User requirements,
Decide the Sample size based on Confidence level and Reliability target, Develop Accelerated life
testing model to expedite the Product development, Should have knowledge & Experience in
building the test cases for Thermal Durability, Mechanical & Electrical Stress Durability,
Environmental Durability, chemical stress, EMI EMC Tests, Performance Safety Tests etc. for
products and sub-assemblies like motor, PCB, Switches, Body parts (Metal, Rubber, Polymer,
Sheetmetal etc.) - Should have hands on Experience in Vibration, Climatic, NVH, Endurance, performance testing on
Hands on Experience of testing products in Climatic chamber, Thermal Shock Chamber,
IP Testing for protection against water & Dust, Corrosion Resistance, Resistance to chemicals,
Vibration shaker, EMI-EMC Testing as per CISPER 14 & other applicable requirements, etc.
Suggesting the Designer solutions based on observations / failures in testing to improve the
reliability of products and processes - Active involvement in DFMEA, PFMEA, DFR, DFM processes to identify and anticipate the
probable failures in the initial development stage. Estimate abuse testing conditions, simulate or
execute test cases to understand the effect on product performance and life. Handling the
Multiple project testing requirements simultaneously. Experience of using PLM process will be an
added advantage. Knolwedge of ISO 17025:2017 will be an added advantage. Dealing with
External laboratories for Special or critical testing. - Monitoring and executing the tests as per test standards or test conditions, logging the required
data and evidence of observations, Failure identification and support for root cause analysis
using various methods like 5W-2H, 7QC Tools, 8D, FTA, etc. and effectively deploy the solution
with logics, Test report preparation and report presentation to management and CFT. Experience
in Statistical calculation using Minitab, Excel, or data analytics tools. - Understanding of National & International Regulatory & Compliance requirements, EHS
requirements with respect to product, should have Knowledge of Test Standards like IS, ISO,
ASTM, DIN, JASO, JIS, IEC, CISPER etc. - Guiding & leading the team to ensure to develop test solutions in time to meet product SOPs. Build and engage team, determine resource requirement and allocation.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge in Electrical, electronics & Mechanical Engineering (fundamentals, Motors-
AC, DC,BLDC, Servo ,Stepper, Actuator etc., Electro Magnetic circuits, PCBs – motor control and
IOT communication, Switches, IOT applications etc.), EV Motor & Controller Testing - Reliability Engineering, Reliability analysis, Life cycle testing, Sampling methods etc.
- Good Analytical and problem solving skills, RCA using (7QC tools, 8D, 5W-2H,FTA , Six Sigma etc.)
