Qualification:
- Bachelor Mechanical Engineering Degree or related Engineering
- Design for Six sigma or equivalent process certificates will be an added advantage
Experience: 8 to 10 years
Job Purpose –
This role will work independently and as a part of a team to execute ETO, NPD and VA/VE programs for Knife gate valve products. You will be work on Valve design tasks, which includes concept design, Structural strength calculations, refer international standards, product testing, Release manufacturing drawings, working with suppliers to resolve technical queries and develop prototype samples and interact with Global Engineering teams.
Highlight Top / Key Responsibilities for this position –
- Work within engineering team to lead in concept designs & develop final design for ETO, NPD VA/VE programs.
- Undertake calculations and preparation of design records to verify mechanical design of valves and accessories.
- Preparation of design documentation for Design Reviews Work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers to conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) considerations.
- Preparation of submissions for Product Certifications applicable to the valve industry.
- Create / Review 3D part & assembly models, 2D manufacturing drawings, engineering BoMs.
- Support sales & marketing literature, technical documentation incl. IOMs , TDS and Technical Bulletin.
