Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Area Sales Manager to oversee our sales staff. We will expect him to analyse current sales figures, develop effective sales techniques to boost those figures, and train the sales team on the new methods. He will also be responsible for hiring and training talented sales representatives. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of automotive sales experience and an impressive track record of closing deals and retaining customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify business opportunities and perform market research to create business leads and identify potential projects.
  • Generate new customer and partner relationships to ensure new business and opportunities are identified.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers, dealers.
  • Achieve volumes and targeted market share in the assigned region.
  • Regularly review sales data and create reports for senior-level management.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Communicate actively with sales teams in each area to help foster a team environment
  • Plan and execute sales meetings to help provide feedback and sales insights
  • Interview and train new sales employers, and overseeing other onboarding tasks as needed
  • Manage business by monitoring each dealership in terms of viability and profitability.
  • Continuously work on identifying new opportunities. Search for prospective dealers for required area coverage.
  • Initiate marketing programs/ BTL activities from time to time in the assigned region and monitor customer service to achieve sales objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Update market developments periodically to facilitate proactive steps to combat competition.
  • Reporting on Dealer performance, market Shares, Market information, sales forecast, Competitor performance, Application matrix and Team Productivity.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), marketing, or related fields may be preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in a sales role. (Automotive Preferred)
  • Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices
  • Substantial track record of exceeding sales quotas and goals
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Outgoing and service-oriented attitude
  • Knowledge of inventory control and management
